Showgest is built with your privacy as a priority. We do not collect any personal data from your device. There is no sign-up, no account, and no login required to use the app.

We or our third-party service providers may collect anonymous, non-identifiable usage data solely to improve app performance and user experience. This data is never linked to any personal information.

What We Do Not Collect

  • Your name, email address, or any identifying information
  • Your location data
  • Your contacts, photos, or files
  • Any payment or financial information
  • Any data that can be used to identify you personally

Anonymous Usage Data

To help us understand how users interact with the app and where we can improve, anonymous analytics data may be collected. This includes general usage patterns such as which screens are visited or how often the app is opened. This data is aggregated and cannot be traced back to any individual.

This data is used solely for analytics and app improvement purposes. It is never sold, rented, or shared with advertisers.

Push Notifications

If you opt in to push notifications, your device's FCM (Firebase Cloud Messaging) token is collected. This token is a unique identifier assigned by Google to your device for the purpose of delivering notifications. It is not linked to your identity and is used only to send app notifications.

You can opt out of push notifications at any time through your device settings.

Showgest integrates with the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy practices which we encourage you to review:

Google Firebase

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver push notifications to your device. Firebase may collect your device's FCM token and anonymous diagnostics data. Firebase is a Google service and is governed by Google's privacy policies.

The Movie Database (TMDB)

All film data, images, and metadata displayed in Showgest are sourced from TMDB's API. Showgest does not share any user data with TMDB. Browsing film content within the app does not transmit personal information to TMDB.

Children's Privacy

Showgest does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The app does not require any personal data to function and is safe for general audiences.
